Yeah that makes sense. The two are similar, but not interchangeable. For example, "I am hella tired" =\= "I am hell of tired," but I hear that kind of thing all the time. Hell of annoying. ;)

There is a town in NJ called Forked River.. I always read it but apparently I was saying it wrong.

The proper pronunciation is For-kid River, not Forked. I forget why but I looked it up after arguing with someone and I was wrong.

My Step Dad used to pronounce Italian Dressing as Eye-talian Dressing. It comes from Eye-taly.

He also used to say Warsh instead of Wash too. He was a funny dude.

My friend got his dog from some place in Connecticut called "Bum Pass". I'm sure you can imagine how anyone who would be my friend would pronounce that.

Tons of that too in Massachusetts.

Worcester is pronounced wooster.
