If the Joker with his face cut off didn't freak you out then I'd feel bad for you. Oh and I'd also suggest you get the trade paperback of Death of the Family along with reading Detective Comics. It's a storyline that crosses into all the Bat-related titles and you'll miss some good stuff if you don't. Especially the conclusion, as I'm pretty sure that's in Batman, and as far as the Joker goes that last issue is as important for building his character as The Killing Joke.

And it's good to see another newb. I've been slowly dipping my toes into comics for the past couple years and I'm only really just getting into them pretty recently.

Reminds me of a dude I know, from his taste in music to his particularly talkative nature.

Is wrong.... my interest in death is purely aesthetic and metaphorical. I just like how dead stuff looks and think it gets a bad rap as inferior to life.

Also should get to know young metalhead Neff... nudge nudge... wink wink....

Introduce him to me. I will then decide whether he is worthy of the title "bud".
