Yeah but he isn't responsible IMO. He just took the paycheck. He was already attached to do the third one for contractually reasons. I blame it on the writers for writing that awful scene and others.

That's true, but then again Topher Grace was venom that was doomed from the start.

My first thought was that I do NOT agree with that statement, but it has been like 5 years since I saw the both of them so I may rewatch it just to see.

Also, I always thought it was weird Maguire was even cast as Spiderman at all.
Parker is supposed to be a college student and Maguire was like 32 when he played Spiderman.

Because I didn't enjoy Spiderman 2 but found Spiderman 3 somewhat entertaining.
