I honestly, truly believed that Frown had got the wrong thread, that he thought this was the "What Are You Writing Now?" one and I started reading it. It's actually very good, as a story; very descriptive. But after reading like two posts I think it was, I started skipping down, still wondering. When I eventually came to the punchline (which was lame to the max and doesn't work for non-Americans like me, as we pronounce it lee-ver not leh-ver) I was bloody annoyed, but glad I hadn't read the whole thing.

I can just imagine Frown telling this in a pub, and by the time he reaches the "punch line" he turns around to receive his applause, and there's nothing but silence. Everyone has turned into skeletons.

I read and liked it. But as TH said, it's not quite right when you're thinking lever with a long e.
