How about Latin American, African and Asian football?

Yes, but they've evolved differently in terms of speed and have differences, even in Europe the type of football that is played in England is quite different in style to say how it is played in Italy. For these reasons alone, it's truly a worldwide sport and hence the label 'world cup' applies aptly to the sport. Football is not my favourite sport, but I'd say it's the best all round sport on what it can offer the viewer.

Instead of having one goal keeper. There is a defensive line of 11 players each tasked with a different role. Some guys near the front the line men try to sack the quarterback before he even throws the ball and the others match up individually with the other players on the offense side. Sometimes they have a strategy where they play two to three guys on one offense person(Wide Receiver) that they have a pretty good idea is going to be getting the ball.

I'm a cycling fanatic and as far as I'm concerned it's the most exciting sport on the planet and also one of the most difficult and most complex to follow as well. But I recognize it's an acquired taste (that a lot of people couldn't watch it) and it's not really that popular in the UK either. Its popularity is far greater in mainland Europe (mostly in Belgium, France, Spain, Holland and Italy etc) where it's an obsession amongst its aficionados as well.

No goalkeepers in American football. Or the other entire team is the goalkeeper. and the guy doesn't have to cross into the end zone, the ball only has to break the plane.

@US, nice one. Yeah doesn't really interest me tbh, the only stuff I know about cycling is there seems to be a lot of controversy regarding doping, Armstrong etc. My 2nd sport is Snooker and I know most people would find that excruciatingly boring to watch (you do get match fixing as well, Stephen Lee just got banned for 12 years). Might not even consider it a sport at all.

I think cycling has become slightly more popular since Wiggins I'd imagine.

Can we agree that the two most boring sports overall are cricket and golf?
