yeah man. Used Blendr quite a lot a few months back, there's bound to be a ton of fake profiles, but if you're smart enough to decipher the real from the phoney and get talking to someone, you can meet up.
Most people are there for the exact reason that you are, so it's all good. I'd carry protection though, girls that use those sites aren't always the cleanest.

Not a dating site but I've spoke to girls online on things like MSN, FB, MySpace then met up with them after a bit having never spoke to them before.

I wouldn't even bother with craigslist. Most of the time those ads are either pic farmers or some type of scam where they want you to sign up for some other site. I've yet to see a real person from craigslist. They might exist but just not in my area. It's all bullshit most of the time so I gave up on craigslist a long time ago.

i think the key is to have unbeleivably low expectations for craigslist and live with the results whether that be no response or a beached whale. my best friends girlfriend of like 6 months casually mentioned she had used pof and i could tell hearin that made my buddy real uncomfortable so i was a bro and changed topics
