He thinks that he is so good at cooking Russian food that it doesn't need sauce with what spices, herbs and seasoning he adds to it.

Don't chefs and stuff say it's important to have different elements, textures and so on? Sounds like it might get a little dry and boring if there's no sauce.

By the way, I've known some russian dudes .. Does your boyfriend drink a lot of Stolichnaya (a vodka) with his dinners? :p:

Regarding coffee, I drink it black 19 times out of 20 or more. That 1 in 20 or less, I have it with milk and sugar. Coffee with sugar is just strange. Coffee with milk is even stranger, just thins it out and makes it slightly fatty. Coffee with milk and sugar becomes an entirely different culinary experience from the black coffee and so that's alright. Incorporate both into your life and you have one extra culinary experience to enjoy in your tastebudtastical toolbox.

God no. I havent ever tasted a tea that needed or benefited from being sweetened.

I know there is a tea appeciation thread somewhere around, but I can't find it, so I just wanted to share a delicious tea combo that I came up with recently - green tea with freeze-dried strawberry pieces.... So freakin' good.

Vanilla Chai Tea deserves to be sweetened and definitely benefits from it.

Are you kidding?! The vanilla sweetens it, and chai is already sweet enough! Maybe if you want to drink a sugar drink as opposed to actual tea :P
