What does that have to do with being a violent moron?

Getting into fistfights as a teen in the late 70s (long before kicking someone in the face while they were unconscious on the ground became the norm) wasn't violent. It just happened. I won some, I lost some. Those were the times.

Again, where I grew up it was all kids of Irish, Italian, and French-Canadian descent.

Tempers 101.

(on his first day at school, my dad, who didn't speak much english, punched a kid in the face because he didn't understand what he was saying and assumed he was making fun of him - true story!)

One more true story, my dad went to school with this guy:

We've been doing good. Let's try and keep it that way.

Again, a high school parking lot fight was just commonplace back then. Don't ask me to defend it using today's (and your's) standards.

Just because it's common doesn't mean it's not violence dude. Doesn't mean it's not stupid to solve your problems with fists too.

There were fights weekly at least at my high schools. They were commonplace and violent at the same time.

Crazy. In my high school dayz it was a slow week if you didn't get shanked in English class and have your half dead body ****ed by juggalos.

Because the 70s, right?

Not quite sure of your point. That's how big beefs got settled. Violent, yes. You wanna try to re-write it on some moral crusade? No.
Settling beefs like that is a knuckle dragger's approach and isn't something to be proud of. That's the point.
