Do You Look Your Age?

Ppl say I look 15 or 16 but will be 29 soon. In certain lights or different days I can look my age.

People think I'm at least 17, in reality I am 22. The look on their faces when I tell them makes me chortle.

"How old are you anyway" - Them

"22" - Me

"You look like you are still in high school, no way" - Them

"Yes way" - Me

Even with my beard that I've kept up. I still have people thinking I'm younger than I am and stopping to csrd me. I feel like it's going to catch up with me in a few years and I will look drastically older than I am.

I would have to say "Younger" because I still get ID'd at 22. (18 is the legal age here)

Yeah you look under 22 to be fair from that pic you posted.

Can't remember the last time I got ID'd to be honest. Usually in supermarkets.

it depends on the person asking -

those younger than I will usually assume that I'm much older.

those older than I will usually assume I'm much younger. However, there's a catch to that, as I've noticed that men will assume I'm younger, but women are closer in their guess.

it might have something to do with the fact that I wear my hair in braided pigtails at work (I have to - it's really really long - I mean, I sit on it sometimes) or that I really enjoy kitschy accessories and I'm kind of eccentric.

but my skin is sort of worn from drug/alcohol abuse, stress, sickness, etc. and I'm mentally 45 years old.

People around my own age (24 this year) are usually better at guessing my age.

I'm going on 22, and I can safely say that I do not look my age. I've been told that I look like i'm 16. Baby face curse.

In some ways I did but it was patronising as fuck being called cute all the time.
