Perhaps there was some "backstory" I didn't know about in Whiskey's case, as Janszoon suggested; however, that doesn't change my view that I feel mods should not start threads to mock members, regardless of those members' actions.

Not sure if you can hear me up on your high horse or not, but yes there was indeed a "backstory". Some of it is not stuff you would have seen and some of it was right out in the open on the forums here. Which means you either deliberately chose to ignore it, or more likely, just decided for the umpteenth time that you should launch into lecture mode without bothering to establish any kind of frame of reference.
