Seriously though, if you were a REAL nerd you would've said this: NCC-1701 for "classic Trek" NCC-1701A for first movie NCC-1701D for Next Gen NCC-1701E for Generations and you'd also have mentioned that NCC stands for Naval Construction Class. I thought it meant Nipple Construction Class because the design of the original ship was inspired by one so all the nerds would continue to tune in and guarantee the show would not be dropped after the first season.
