There are far too many polls wandering the streets of our cities and towns, nothing to do, nowhere to go. These poor souls (!) have had nothing to look forward to in their dull lives, other than maybe being selected to run a local or general election question, or be grabbed by some spotty teenager for Facebook or some ****e.
Then, like a knight on a white horse, this hitherto unknown Israeli came out of nowhere and descended on every town, city, and village, sweeping up polls in his arms as he came. "YOU'LL do for one about women!" he cried, brandishing one high in the air, "And YOU'LL go lovely with an idea about dinners I have!" And so on he went, charging through the countries of the world, picking up polls and giving them finally a purpose in life, a reason to live, a sense of worth and of belonging!
And his name was revered throughout all Polldom, and he was granted the title
Sir Whiskey, Grand Keeper of the Polls!
Praised be his name, for he has made the mediocre, er, less mediocre!
