No I'm not actually a Satanist. I have met others though, and they're not like blood-letting sacrificial morons, they're just nice people who think that the roles are reversed and Satan is the good one.

Yeah, I think of it as something like teenage rebellion.

I thought Satanism was sort of a "Do what thou wilt" affair. I'm pretty certain "Satan worshiping" came from extremist Christians so anxious to damn anyone who didn't believe in God. That's another thing, why is the "average" Christian so quick to object to anything that seems different or something that doesn't apply to their beliefs? I mean, with the Harry Potter movies there were some Christian groups that gave really crazy rants about how it was corrupting children.

But seriously, it's about the triumph of good over evil. It should be something Christians ought to encourage. |

I'm okay with most of them. I went to night mass on Christmas Eve, since my sister, brother, and mom were. A guy I didn't know hugged me and said, "welcome back" with a big smile on his face. Of course, I'd never been there and had never seen him in my life. That affection and the positive side of it is quite nice. However there is an ignorance that usually goes with it, of course. My stepmom exhibits a LOT of it. She routinely blames exiguous events (like a stomach ache) on the devil, and surmised that a relative could have gotten a heart attack for being catholic.
