Here's a musical guessing game. I was just curious to see how short I could make a clip and still have it recognised. If you make a guess maybe use spoiler tags so it doesn't tip off anyone who doesn't want to know.

Ok this one's a bit different. The artist is Radiohead but there's five tracks to guess.

Jeez I have no idea, but Mrdood's guess looks like a good one, though that would make it more mid-90s.

I can hear the next two notes in my head, but none after that, and I can't place it. Bugger.

P.S. I enjoy the challenge in it being basically 1 1/4 notes long... but it seems a bit hard. Maybe if the clip were slightly longer... 2 notes long maybe...

That's the one. It's just such a distinctive intro I couldn't decide on a longer sample that wouldn't make it instantly recognisable.

As for Radiohead I'm having a bit of trouble differentiating the second and third track. Can you split them up in some way?

Also, see if you can get this moved to the main music board. I'm surprised this hasn't picked up much steam.

I took a couple guesses on your latest one.

And my suggestion would be to see if you can get it moved to the main board. It's buried here, and this is music related.

I don't know. This thread has had 490 views but very few replies. I'm not sure moving it will help, but if any mod feels like it deserves a more prominent location feel free to move it :).

Well, it is a game, so I personally feel it fits here, but that's just my discretion.

I've attempted it a number of times, but I find the samples too difficult, and I don't know how to create one myself.

I just use Audacity to copy sections from each song and paste them into a new one. If you get the LAME plugin you can export straight to MP3 or export a WAV or AIFF and convert it in iTunes. Then you need somewhere to upload it. I don't think you can attach an MP3 straight to your post.

Ah, thanks, but I don't have most of the resources for that.

Sounds like one of them is Roger Waters on Careful With That Axe, Eugene. There's another one that I'm positive is Suicidal Tendencies' Suicide's An Alternative. Is one of them 13 Floor Elevators? The first one sort of sounds like Roky Erickson's scream.
