The Virgin, you can't go around telling people they should get out of a thread, even if you started it. What's acceptable is any type of person discussing in a thread, what isn't is members AND moderators ****ing with the thread when its intention was completely harmless, and, if anything, an attempt towards MORE ACCEPTANCE. The Virgin, as you've been told, it's annoying when you announce your sexuality everywhere you go, I'm homosexual, so take this from me. There's a girl at my school who says she's Jewish or makes a Jewish reference at least once every few hours. Am I religiously intolerant? Of course not. But it doesn't make it less difficult to deal with her. You just shouldn't go around doing that all of the time, no one wants to hear it.

We get it everyone, you think him saying he's gay is annoying. Now let's move on with the thread, since I think it's a beautiful idea and I'm sure others would agree.
That's probably because he told anyone who's not "coming out" or gay to leave the thread. How can you advocate tolerance for homosexuality, yet ignore this factor? Also, I don't think pushing for tolerance for gays here is necessary. We don't care if he's GAY. What we don't really tolerate is his racist and misogynist remarks. When does he ever make posts advocating for gender equality or racial equality?

Wait, I didn't ignore that.

I think what he probably meant was,

Quote:
"This thread is for coming out, so if you're not coming out eff off and stop picking fights with me."
Essentially, I think it's an honest thread that was misunderstood from the beginning. The bickering might have been entertaining for a while, but as Awwsugar said the idea behind this thread is perfectly fine and I think it should be treated seriously -- even if the OP is a little off-kilter.

I don't see the point in it except bringing attention to himself, I have never witnessed any intolerance of homosexuality or anyone with a non-hetero lifestyle being judged.

Also I don't know what posting in this thread is going to accomplish, maybe being more comfortable with it yourself, but that'd be a matter of self-acceptance. Acceptance in the context of other people....this won't prove ****

This isn't a very large step toward acceptance, especially on the boards, when he's previously used hateful language full of intolerance for other people. Practice what you ****ing preach

I understand what you mean.
Meh, we do have threads already about being gay. Although this thread is about acceptance and such, I feel like there are a couple of similar threads already.
Maybe we should try it out though, you know?
I agree with you Dayna on what you said, and I agree that The Virgin has previously been someone who doesn't accept.
Maybe it can be an acceptance thread. Religious, Racist, whatever.

Did we get an invasion of Stormfront members that I'm not aware of?

This place is pretty damn accepting. We don't need a thread promoting something that already exists around these parts.

It would be like having a thread promoting the breathing of air.
