This thread will either crash and burn or be moderately decent at best.

The idea is to list one thing, list another, and then have people try to find the connection between the two that the OP was thinking of. To make it easier you have to list the degrees of separation.

ie. Tom Hanks -> Fonzie
Degrees of Separation - 4

1 - Tom Hanks was in The da Vinci Code
2 - The da Vinci Code was directed by Ron Howard
3 - Ron Howard was in Happy Days
4 - Happy Days had a character called Fonzie

Depending on how this goes, I think it'll be acceptable to find any connection between the two as long as it's a logical one, and not BS (ie. Tom Hanks is a man, and so is Fonzie), and it fits in with the degrees of separation mentioned by the OP. As this will probably be really difficult, whoever is coming up with the question should try to make the connection very unique.

First connection:

Bob Dylan -> The Troggs
Degrees of Separation - 4

1. Bod Dylan is a painter.
2. Painting is the field expertise of Da Vinci.
3. Da Vinci was thought to be a homosexual.
4. Homosexuals loves Troggs (except me)

Eminem -> Rupaul

1. Bob Dylan was in Masked & Anonymous with John Goodman/Jeff Bridges
2. John Goodman/Jeff Bridges were in The Big Lebowski with John Turturro
3. John Turturro was in Transformers with Jon Voight
4. Chip Taylor aka James Voight (Jon's brother) wrote "Wild Thing" performed by The Troggs

Haha good enough. It was actually:

1 - Bob Dylan wrote "All Along the Watchtower"
2 - Jimi Hendrix covered "All Along the Watchtower"
3 - Hendrix covered "Wild Thing"
4 - The Troggs wrote "Wild Thing"
