Ok, I may have been kind of mistaken here, Mac is just the same as the apple laptop right?

Yes I am. Maybe they are more expensive in the Philippines. But this is where I got the prices from: Apple (Canada) - Mac

Yes. Let's add tax to the most expensive one, $2,499, for example.

2499 + 13% tax = 2823.87, which is about 125,199.88 pesos

why are gadgets abroad are so much cheaper?
for instance, when we went to Lexington my colleague bought a play station for $300 and he said that in the Philippines, it costs around 20-30,000 pesos which is around $700.

Macs are computers made by Apple. That includes both laptops and desktops.

when the Playstation 3 first came out it was around that price but over time the price drops.

I think most of the time when you buy gadgets in your country it's because your country decides to tax higher on imports so the price ends up being inflated.
