yeah she did, she said she wanted certain members back because they would save the forums in her opinion and hold her interest.

I was referring to your question about what besides bringing back new members would work to make this a better environment.

I said I'd like to see a number of people return, but on the same note, I'd like to see people of a similar nature join and stay here. I'd like to see a great deal more discussion, and I'd like to see more activity in the music forums.

To be honest, I have very little interest in the social aspect of the site. There aren't many people here I get on with. It's nobody's fault, I'm not pointing fingers, I just can't relate to the regular posters here. The people I had the most interest in have left.

I see plenty of discussion in the music side of things. Perhaps your referring to music discussion that interests you, thats fair enough.

I have very little interest in the social aspect also. I think theres a few people here i could get on with, but i see your point. Perhaps you could create some more music discussion yourself and get the ball rolling.

I've been rehashing ways to get another general music club started, but I'm stumped on how to keep people active in it. People just can't commit to listening and reviewing an album. I'm guilty of it too, and that's why I've never been a part of the Indie club or the Weekly Trade Post. I'm better at executing an idea than conceiving it.

It can be tedious to try and keep people interested in music clubs, i can see your dilemma. Well at least you have ideas thats a start in the right direction.

I've thought of introducing themes, and a couple of rules (ie: if you submit an album to the round, you must review the album that is chosen), but it all seems like it would work for a week or two, then peter out.

Gotta give it to him, he's redefined the essence and art of proffesional trolling...impressive actually.
the reason why they're insulting me is because i have certain opinions that doesn't match theirs. and suddenly gives me the 'troll' accusations. i don't know if i'd be happy or mad at your false interpretations of me, you make me sound like very smart and cunning, in a very negative way. i don't know what to say.

again, i'm not trolling. second, yes, i always bring the life at every place. and that's mainly because of my passion to be true to myself and without any pretentions.

i'd like that to happend too. my problem is there aren't a lot of mainstream pop fans here. almost all threads are created for metal bands, punk, rock, rap, etc. etc. where else can i post where the kind of music i really love exist here like lady gaga's thread, or jlo, beyonce, or even rebecca black. and most of these few threads of the mainstream pop are stained by those top40 list pop haters who just don't get it why mainstream pop is so popular.

that's the problem.

You can always start listening to new music too.

i can do that and in fact started doing that on some of the videos/audio's that were posted here but i just can't give up the music that really makes me happy and contented just because i need a new sound.

i'm not even sure if there's a thread here dedicated to my idols like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Barbara Streisand, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson or even Aretha Franklin.

and i'm pretty sure that if i make a thread for them, those punk/metal/rock fans are going to post and shout hate at it. that's why i always opt to just post on the more social topics because i can't get any decent music discussion that I LIKE that anyone wants to even talk about.
