All right, going to take a stab at it...

At the "River of Dreams", they were told "Supper's Ready". They were excited for supper and said, "We're So Starving". They were killed by a "Psycho Killer" who fed them "Infected Mushroom"s. The identity of the "Psycho Killer?" "She's always a woman."

Or something.

Hmmmm...

Very close, but it didn't take place on a river bank. It was actually a "Scene from an Italian Restaurant". And the individual who was murdered was an "Innocent Man"... although I might have messed up there because I think that album's from the 80's. Oh well.

yeah you messed up because scenes from an Italian restaurant was on one of his albums from the late 70s actually. Off of the album The Stranger.

Actually, there were two Billy Joel albums - just picked the wrong song from "The Stranger" and the other album wasn't actually from the '90s, so I missed that bit.
