Oh, well, to be honest, I think that's a source of pride/shame for most men, even if you don't feel the same.

I don't think it's bad to have a bit of pride in all aspects of one's self. I'm not saying it's cool to be an obnoxious twat, but people have got to find things to like about themselves.

You went to the definition of 'pride', there's a lot of definitions. It seems to be quite loose, a word with a lot of meanings.

"A cause or source of pleasure or satisfaction" was one.

You can have both pleasure and satisfaction with your sexuality.

I can kind of see why you brought it up, by being proud of something you didn't have a choice in, being proud because you were born that way may seem like you're better than those who were born a different way and have a different sexual impulse?

But I think it's double standards. Anyone can be proud of their sexuality, without it being a reflection on another's sexuality.

I have pride in being accepted to the university I'm currently attending. That's because I worked hard in high school and earned my spot here. That's something to be proud of.

Am I seriously not getting through to anyone? Pride in non-accomplishments is, by definition, not pride. Am I wrong? There must be some aspect of pride I'm misunderstanding or not considering.

Right. Pride is a cause or source of pleasure/satisfaction. That makes sense. But that has absolutely no bearing on the definition of Pride, which still doesn't seem applicable when talking about sexuality. Maybe I'm proud of my hair. I spend a lot of time styling it every morning. It brings me pleasure and satisfaction, and I have pride in it because I work at it.
