There's also a lot of terrible male comedians. Hello Michael McIntyre!

It's a shame that the comedy industry is so male-dominated, but women are slowly starting to break through. Even if it's in the form of sitcoms rather than stand-ups, which is generally a more popular genre among women anyway.

It seems a little odd that someone like Andy Parsons can spend his life thinking up jokes which are only amusing because of his voice, and be hailed a "genius" in stand up comedy, whereas someone like Sarah Millican works very hard for a fraction of the recognition he gets.

I don't know anyone who finds Andy Parsons funny.
And Sarah Millican is just as awful.

Sarah Millican>>>>>>>Andy Parsons

I think they rely completely on canned laughter for both at times.

There aren't any really famous female comedians who are very good, but Josie Long is the best I have seen.

Huh. I really think that like, Maria Bamford and Kristen Schaal are fantastic. Josie Long is all right.

Kristen makes the ground look like a nice place to bang my head against from 100 feet. Not sure who Maria Bamford is to be honest.

Seconded. Mock The Week is funny when everyone else is talking enough that Andy Parsons can't get a word in.

The funniest thing about this video is the little snowflake feature.

He gets laughs for making random observations, and there must be hundred of comedians who aren't nearly as recognized but work ten times as hard.
