Okay, but, admittedly, there's a much more massive sample of black male comedians than female comedians in general.
I mean, I'll be honest and say that I can't think of any female comedians I think are funny. I just think that the people who are speaking in absolutes are fools. |

Does anyone think how a person looks adds to the humor? I think it definatley plays a role for some...there are some people I hear first and their somewhat funny, and I see them on t.v. and im like oh..your ugly..not as funny now. Doesnt appy to all but definatley to some. Chris Farley was ugly as hell but cracked me up. Rosanne Bar...who's the other fat chick...rosi odonnel...not funny at all.

I dont find any woman comedian to be hilarious really....the closest thing would have to be Patricia Heaton. Of course her skits were written for her but her mannerisms and body language always made me laugh. But again it was a citcom and not a stand up act or anything...I thought she was funny though.

What? My question was do looks add to the humor of a comedian? If Patricia Heaton was swole up like a beached whale I probally wouldnt think she was funny either. Also I said in some cases not all. I didnt think Chris Tucker was as funny after he put on some pounds either. With John Candy and Chris Farley it kind of added to their humor going along with the roles they played in movies. Some can pull it off and some cant but i do think it plays a role in some peoples mystique. Like Dave Chapelle...I dont think he would be as funny if he was a bigger guy. It just wouldnt fit his persona
