I think you can sometimes say the same for comedy, which prevents women from showing their sense of humour as their main aspect of appeal, rather than their other features.
I'm sure that the Chaser would still be targeting Gillard for the right reasons, hahaha.

As for British-American humor, I find british humor to be incredibly unfunny. Perhaps it's the accents that turn me off, or the lingo, I'm not really sure. Nothing British ever makes me laugh. But that's just my opinion and it doesn't bother me if other people feel the complete opposite.

Men are definitely better story tellers. It's all in the delivery, and guys have that strong voice that kinda commands that you pay attention. generally speaking of course, there's exceptions to pretty much everything. But through my life I've found guys to be way funnier and way better story tellers

My three favourite comedies are all the products of three different countries, so I can't say I have a preference. I know there's a lot of American comedy I dislike (particularly in film), however, I've also had a bigger sample size of it.

British and American Humor both have their advantages/disadvantages. I just feel British humor being so heavy on word-play is better for sitcoms. British people tend to overrate their own humor though, sometimes. I think simply for the fact 99% of American sitcoms are adaptations of British Sitcoms proves that.

Then again, we have the ****ing Simpsons. Which, barring anything post 1998, is the greatest sitcom of all time, in my opinion.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God

I think you can easily say you know plenty of women that are hilarious because with you being a female you can easily identify and relate to them

Good point, I never really thought of it that way. But then why to women still relate to and find men funny? Maybe the humour of male comedians is more universal whereas women hone in on more female-related issues?

I think you are onto something

women probably hone in on more female related issues because they probably feel it doesn't get mentioned or enough recognition so that's why they lean more towards talking about them.

I agree, I find British comedians/tv shows/whatever so much funnier than American ones. But I think it's simply a matter of taste in humour.

The only thing that I like about british humor at times is how perverted/raunchy they are other than that....it's about the same for me between the two.
