Hmm...what are these dishonest, hilarious women doing? Giving you compliments?

Seriously, though, mojo: what about Ellen Degeneres? I think she's funny in a kind of funny odd way. And...though you may not get Saturday Night Live reruns...there are lots of funny women there! Well, a couple of them, at least.

Yeah we don't really get SNL here. I think there are still a couple of satellite channels that show it but its not exactly regular programming here. I'm sure there are a lot of funny women write for SNL. After all both Tina Fey and Julia Louis Dreyfus, whom i mentioned in my post, have SNL backgrounds.

I'm not an Ellen Degeneres fan though, i have to admit.

Actually, i think that the majority of writers on Friends over the years were women. I could probably pull a statistic from somewhere on the net to back that up if i could be arsed but I am reasonably sure that it's true.

And Lisa Kudrow was the worst Friend? No way. Courtney Cox was rarely all that humorous but Jennifer Aniston really matured on that show I feel. Especially in later seasons, she really did become a much better comic actress.

I think there are funny women about, I know a couple myself. I'm sure there are funny women that are writers for shows. But female stand up comics are painful, I'm yet to find a funny one. Do you know any? I still haven't forgiven Rhona Cameron for being a terribly unfunny c*nt. I f*cking hate that woman.

Phoebe was so qwuirky and unusual, and it was like STFU. Monica wasn't that funny, but she was less annoying.

Chandler > Joey > Rachel > Ross > Monica > Phoebe

Even if it was written by men, the fact that the women pulled it off shows that they come across funny. Courtney Cox is pretty funny in general, Cougar Town for instance.

Of course they can.

The girls here tend to be quite funny too. Vanilla, Kayleigh, Paloma and Tumor especially.

I think it goes Chandler>Rachel>Monica>Ross>Phoebe.

You're right though, like Phoebe was just so over rated.

But they are character traits. Thats Phoebe, not Lisa Kudrow. I think she did a great job as Phoebe. Courtney Cox was never very funny but then maybe its because she had the most boring character? Well, in my mind she did anyway.

Every character had their own traits when it comes to what made them the character that they are and i think everyone had more opportunities for good comedy than Courtney Cox did. The reason i like Jennifer Aniston so much in Friends is that I think the Phoebe character was the only female character ever really given the freedom of expression to be genuinely funny and Monica and Rachel, not so much. I think Jennifer Aniston did a much better job with Rachel than Courtney Cox did with Monica.

Pheobe has to be my least favorite as well. Was never a fan of smelly cat.

And yeah, Cougar Town is actually better than I thought it would be, Courtney is funnier than she's ever been, and she looks great for her age too even if she's probably had some cosmetic assistance.

Aniston was the funniest of the girls though, I have been a fan of her and I still am.
