I find being with the same person all lovey dovey is more fulfilling than shagging anything that moves. I guess I'm weird, most friends and males I've spoke to like the whole shagging about thing so I don't know, each to their own type of situation I guess. 1 night stands are just really awkward and shitty.

Meh yeah, I suppose there is middle ground. I think that's a nice way to live, quite fulfilling and not a sh*tty shallow lifestyle. But I wouldn't be scared to commit to someone if they were the right girl.

My mom got married when she was 20, my dad was 24. It took them nearly 10 years to have a kid though. But that was in 1981 and my mom never went to university because she didn't have to. It's different today - most people here go to university or college at 18 or 19, spend 3 or 4 years in school where they will most likely meet the person they might get married to. Then when school is done, you're around 22 and trying to jumpstart your professional life or thinking about grad school. And if you're in a serious relationship or just married, your partner is probably doing the same. No time for a family just yet - I think most people now are waiting till their late 20's or early 30's to have a kid. Especially women. If you have kids that means you need a day job, and if you're still completing a degree or something it's going to take a lot longer because you need to go to night school.
But then again, the earlier you have kids, the earlier you can send them off to college. You can work and save your money for all your travelling dreams and such when your kids are young. Some people even take early retirement and then do all that stuff. |

Hey...I thought this thread was supposed to be about how old people seem to be based on their posts, not about their real ages!!
But as for my *real* age, AwwSugar, I thought you knew that if you were Luke Skywalker, I would be old enough to say to you, "Luke, I am youur Motherrrrrr." Sonny boy, if I didn't need my cane for balance I'd hobble over there right now and club you! The closest guess so far...but I think you cheated, Janszoon! Also, don't I act more immature than that?! Damn and **** and hell, and screw the world!!! (There. Did that shave off a few years?) Quote:

If I ever choose to have children It'll be late on. When I've been heavily reckless for a decade or two.

Wow...even on an internet post you manage to curse like a middle age person. I wouldn't want you using foul language anyway...it would upset the order of my world.
