Then its like ..... kinda pointless to have the physical CD, a lossless version and a mp3 version >_>
Depends on what you want the mp3 version for.
If you want a backup copy to copy to your mp3 player or to send to people, it's fine. But most of the time you'll just play the physical disc when you really want to enjoy it and use the PC copy for sharing and your portable player. In that case mp3 may come in handy

There is a reason why we go to school, to help people like me get an average IQ!! Which they failed at ;.;
As much as I'd like to say your IQ seems just fine, I just have to say that you can indeed in- or decrease your IQ a bit by keeping your brains active, but you definitely won't go from chimpanzee to einstein by just studying. I guess most of it is inherited

I was on ebay not long ago and brought several second hand CD's for $6 each, including postage, and the seller put in an extra CD!!!!
They are now my favourite seller!!!! See, its not hard to please me
Hahaha, it's more expensive than it is here, but there you go.
Why buy new albums if you can get them for 1/3rd of the price on ebay .

See, one often ends up with mp3 copies if they get music online.
The only reason I would take an mp3 copy over a lossless copy to put on my mp3 is the size difference. You can get more songs on if they are smaller. Bit of a paradox there :P

I dunno, I have laods of mp3's on my PC.
I usually listen to them in my studio while posting here, editing photo's, playing a game, posting on my own forum, chatting on MSN, repairing an audio device or a computer, whatever. Mp3's are fine for that.
But when I want to enjoy the music as such, I just play the vinyl or the CD.
So... No need for lossless

Well whatever my plan is, I will need a new HDD because I'm running out of room!!!!
Otherwise I think I shall start doing what you do, no point taking up room with something I won't use.

I don't know where you're from, but the prices for Terabytes of space are very very low here.

I'd buy the album only if I supported the band and I want to hear more from them - I buy Sevendust albums - I seen them live and damn there badass - I love their story and their music rocks - driven is a badass tune -

Ben Harper also - I'm picky about albums I buy

dream theater - if rush would write something like they used to I'd buy it in a heartbeat

more to follow

I buy everything I want, or if a friend has it I take it from them. I stopped downloading things a few years back.

And I encourage everyone to buy CDs and vinyl from their local record store or used book store, if they have one. Them places need love.

Nope, I use HDD's at work that are not designed to be moved around. They are high quality HD's, used for video editing, and lack any of that anti-shock protection, ect
