A little gem I discovered a while ago searching through my grandmothers dictionary of unusual words:

quidnunc [kwid-nuhngk]

One of my faves. Pairs well with a dry cynicism.

circumambulate
verb [ trans. ] formal
walk all the way around (something) : they used to circumambulate the perimeter wall.

To leave quickly and secretly and hide oneself, often to avoid arrest or prosecution. "The accountant absconded with the cash from the safe"

ephemeral - adj., "Lasting a very short time; transient."

lackadaisical - adj., "Lacking life, spirit, or zest; languid."

reify - verb, "To regard (something abstract) as a material thing."
