I liked Janszoon's .. It worked on more levels than the others I think and it wasn't so mean. Thanks for being sporty about it, Boobs! :p:

I'll give you that I thought Sweet Nothing was a woman but Boo Boo? I mean did you even read what he wrote?

FETCHER. 10-20-2009 08:59 AM

at first i did think boo boo was a woman, not for very long though.. as i read his posts
i think Urbans is best, it made me laugh more than the Captains. :)

Arya Stark 10-20-2009 09:01 AM

I think CCs would have been funnier without the details on the face.

The computer was funny enough.

Are we going to have a vote or something?

And yeah, I thought Boo Boo was a woman, too. Not because of the icon being a girl but because it was Rukia. Period. xD

FETCHER. 10-20-2009 10:04 AM

i think CC's was good, and clever. and funny. but it could be offensive (i dont take offense btw )

it was his avatar, i have no idea why it struck me as something a girl would have.

storymilo 10-20-2009 03:05 PM

I never thought booboo was a girl but for a little while I thought he was like nine years old:p:

But my perceptions of people on the internets are incredibly off

WWWP 10-20-2009 03:21 PM

I thought Ethan was a girl when I first joined and I think a few people thought I was a guy.

boo boo 10-20-2009 04:23 PM

Ethan is not a girl... yet.

Hey, whatever works for you. I only thought of Ed McMahon because shouting "YES!" was kind of his catchphrase.

Someone should make a "Heeeere's Johnny" one.

Yeah, I thought boo boo was a woman at first...probably one with short hair who chuckles and says bouhaha a lot. My reason, though, was that he seemed to be very outspoken and write long, thoughful posts, which I associate with womanhood (ack! sexist, I know). Plus, "boo boo" is just, well, a cute little phrase.

I especially like right-track's version of the picture where boo boo says, "I'm not a prog head...I'm a human being!"

No that's you;)

And I liked that one a lot too

Yeah, I really think it was a combination of the avatar, username and my pink last fm sig.

A scary laugh while saying a sexist joke, it has everything to do with the picture !

Did you read the feminism thread? (Not that I think Boo Boo is sexist really, but it eventually disintergrated to that)

storymilo 10-22-2009 07:44 PM

^ Nah I never read it. Didn't miss much I'm guessing?

You obviously missed the reference in homeboy's caption.

Aww...very sweet of you, storymilo!

As for boo boo and feminism...I felt he and I had a good, civil discussion about it in the feminism thread. I feel boo boo feels very strongly that equal treatment is important and so he is frustrated when he feels any group wants privileges he feels are unfair (that's a lot of feeling, I know!). And, he doesn't like hypocrisy. That was an interesting thread, though...too bad it got closed, because I was going to add more comments!

Perhaps boo boo's cartoon balloon could say, "I'm a feminist, not a monster!"

Actually vege posted in 2009 saying how she thought right tracks one was funny even though technically its a thread in jest of boo boo, made by a mod. It's funny how her attitude changed.

I think your attitude has changed as well, but not so much in a funny way.
