It is really easy to beat. Just think of anything remotely unmainstream and you've won.

I won, but it got Tegan Quin in 28 questions.

I stumped it.
It asked me 29 questions, and the followup questions were all wrong.

My answer was: Lake Goang (acid lake in Indonesia)

It is easy to beat, but its' still fun none the less.

It got the band Ride in 17 questions, but took 22 to guess Kurt Cobain. My guess is actually the more mainstream your answer, the harder it'll be to get because of all the morons that feed it incorrect info

It got Frank Zappa and Conan in 16 Q's.
It couldn't figure out TMV.

but its killing me in music. It got Jack White and the Pixies fairly quick.

edit: whats funny and I'm sure you'll poke fun at this one, is it asked on the third question once if I was female, then later up in the 20's its guessing males like Joe Jonas.

I tried and I stumped it, it couldn't guess nyckelharpa or Area 51.

I was playing around with the handheld version of this game a few days ago, I was thinking of cocaine and it guessed table salt, not bad I 'spose. :laughing:

I tried John Lennon twice ... and in both it didn't get it altho it used 30 questions !

Did you tour in the last two years? You said Yes, 20Q was taught by other players that the answer is No (reunion tour in may, the only one ever)

It's only as clever as it's users so that's its major flaw, yeah. See also: Most other websites ever made.

the FIRST question that comes up when you think about a CANADIAN person is - are you american....

this is quite possibly the dumbest website i've ever visited.

canadians can't conceive of Americans? Just because we're ****ing badasses doesn't mean we can't occupy the thought of the northern boys.

maybe i misinterpreted the point of the site. i figured by 'thinking canadian' i would be, you know, thinking about canadian stuff. it seems to think the only bands we've produced are the guess who, our lady peace, and the tragically hip.

Yeah I'm not entierly sure what the point of that section is but my guess is that people from a given nationality are going to have a certain vantage point?

Also, given that it comes first its to eliminate some things. Despite what you'd read on these boards, many American's aren't familiar with the shows they watch in the UK. So it may be weeding things out like that.

But with music, Canada for example had been far more in line with Britain than the states have. My understanding is Oasis gets as much play up there as they do back home, while their more recent stuff sees mostly rock radio appeal in the states.

I don't know that "thinking canadian" eliminates American things though...

And don't beat up on yourselves. You gave us Nickleback too.
