Six Degress of Eric Clapton
Just like the Kevin Bacon game, but with musicians.
Rules are similar but more lax. Doesn't have to be Clapton, but he's played with so many musicians he's a great one to start with. Whoever solves then previous riddle in six connections or fewer sets the next challenge. Example: Stevie Wonder Stevie Wonder was on Mo-Town records with Gladys Knight and the Pips Who recorded the soundtrack for "Claudine" produced by Curtis Mayfield Who wrote "People Get Ready" for the Exodus album of Bob Marley Who's song "I shot the Sherrif" was covered by Eric Clapton So you can see there are a lot of ways to go. Let's start with a relatively easy one. David Bowie to Eric Clapton |
i always these games hehehe
from bowie to clapton.... Bowie's "Let's Dance" album features SRV SRV covered Hendrix once in a while ;) footage of Hendrix at the Monterey Pop Festival had Clapton thinking his career was over. now for a bit of a challenge - Aphex Twin to Eric Clapton :p: |
This is an awesome idea.
-Aphex Twin's music video for Windowlicker was directed by Chris Cunningham -Cunningham directed the music video for All is Full of Love by Bjork -Bjork's album Medulla features vocal contributions from Mike Patton -Mike Patton's band Fantomas did their 2005 European tour with drummer Terry Bozzio when Dave Lombardo wasn't available -Terry Bozzio is a long time collaborator with Frank Zappa -Zappa's song Are You Hung Up? features a voice cameo by Eric Clapton |
Really Impressive Boo!

Jon Anderson was in Yes with guitarist Steve Howe from 1970 onwards.
Steve Howe played on Queen's 1991 track "Innuendo" because guitarist Brian May couldn't play the part. Brian May played at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert with Eric Clapton. Three steps, nice. Ok, how about a tough one (I think). David Byrne to Eric Clapton, go. |
