I'm not envious of America at all. Come live in my country, it's pretty damn good. I'm definitely not envious of the credit crisis going on over there.

America asks for it though, they go on about how amazing they are and how they are the biggest most sucessful country in the world and then wonders why we find it hard to sympathise.

i'm just saying you're making awfully egregious generalizations about the start of the war. there's no way to know how the war would have turned out if America had gotten involved earlier. and i might remind you that America was an isolationist country, had been during the Great War as well.

i think history is a pretty stupid thing to argue about anyways. i probably should be doing something more productive.

A deal that also guaranteed British involvement against Germany should they invade. Also, hardly not giving a shit.

Also, after Europe fell to the Nazi's the British could have sued for peace.
We chose to stand alone and continued to fight...alone.

I'm not disputing what happened in the far east Sam. I'm fully aware of what took place.
I was trying to bring attention to the Soviet contribution to the war. Which in my opinion is sadly overlooked by some countries.
of course not. i'm just playing devil's advocate.

See, attacking the big dog for his flaws. I'm sure New Zealand has problems of it's own, not saying your country is any lesser than United States, just every country does.

And I don't think we all have a superiority complex, some of us, like myself, defend our country because smaller countries like picking on us. For example...

Heh, I thought it might be interpreted that way; not what I meant. What I meant was you guys have experience being the most powerful, envied country

Oh I realise that it could have gone many ways if America hadn't of become in involved. But I just don't like the idea of my forefathers contribution to peace keeping being overshadowed to suit an American ego.

We're pretty good actually. Least we not forget that my country was never invaded in the first place yet we still got involved in the war and assisted with peace keeping.

Awwww like as if America really cares what little old New Zealand thinks anyway. I'm not trying to make this about whos country is better but trying to get you to see that it's not all about what America did in the war.

I've tried being as clear as possible when saying that I know America was not the only Allied contributor in the war. You seem to have a mentality that I'm all about America and that's it and no matter what I say, it'll always be about America for me. I suggest breaking that mentality, I've stated numerous times that I respect the Soviets' contribution to the war.

You seem awfully angry at America. By any chance, have you ever visited here?

Ok that's what I needed to hear. But then I hear all these muffled cries of other things that make me question your intentions.

I have not visited but I have quite a few friends that have. I do know quite a few American's who are on exchange over here and they are lovely. I'm no saying you're all *******s, but there is this air of superiority that really bothers me.
