2. Damn you! I couldn't imagine any life to be much less adventurous than mine.. it sucks. 3. same here. We're probably right about the bad voice.. just a guess. 4. yeah you do. But I do too.. Quote:
In the end I read a lot about it. In the 70's or 80's people called it the crime syndrome because of some misinterpreted study. But it does have some effect on social behavior, kids tend to be more active, not that quick to the uptake, might have delayed speech etc. and there's stuff like shaky hands (that I have), more acne, in comparison to siblings lower IQ, greater height (after all I'm 1,98m). There are also some studies on how it might effect sexuality. Still don't know what to think of it, but yeah, it's just not that serious. No desease or something. 30% is an estimated number. When I was born they tested some cells, and that's the average. It's probably 25%, that would make sense considering how it happens, citation: "In some cases, the addition of an extra Y chromosome results from nondisjunction during cell division during a post-zygotic mitosis in early embryonic development. This can produce 46,XY/47,XYY mosaics." So maybe it happend when 2 cells became 4?! |

I'm proud to annouce the 2009 honorary title of sheer knowledge awesomeness goes tooo.. (super long drum roll) Pianogirl75! Congrats! It's true, our society wants certificates everywhere (and who can blame them? it's some form of security), but you shouldn't feel insecure because of that. It's just another label we choose to accept, or not. And isn't there a chance you could do some evening school? It seems you got the mental requirements and the thirst for knowledge, you might just do it hands down?! Quote:
12. where to? 13. now that's awesome. I would join in immediatly! Quote:
2. don't! it's fun 15. but, they are! 19. I do too! I cry over tv shows aswell.. it's just so damn sad/nice sometimes! (15. Come on, give him the time to rebel your music taste. I'd bet in 6 years you could name several "of your" bands your son likes by then.) Quote:

---1. what happens when you close the right one? You brain wouldn't allow the partial sight of the left eye?----
Yeah but I can barely see with it so in normal vision mode I don't use it. I do have to get regular check ups at the opticians. This means that my right eye has perfect vision still because it has to work harder. It honestly doesn't affect anything though and I can see perfectly and don't need glasses. |
