And even though I'm only 21, 25 seems like it would be a bit of a maturity checkpoint in life, especially for students like me who are postponing the 9-5 drag until about then.

Wow, I just realised I'm "in the minority" on this forum, as far as age goes. May be in the minority as far as other things too. Does'nt bother me. I did notice (just joined recently) many of the posters seemed to have young "attitudes". I don't have the chance to see the opinions of younger folks much (except on a daily basis from my 14 year old daughter). So, this forum may be enlightening in some ways. 52 btw.
