Exactly. I own a Mac, my wife owns a PC (in this case a Toshiba laptop running Windows Vista). They're both fine. I prefer a Mac because (a) I'm a graphic designer and every other designer I know also has a Mac, which means it's a hell of a lot easier for me to get design programs for free for a Mac, (b) I'm less likely to run into compatibility issues with design files, and (c) I've been using Mac for 12 or 13 years and am just much more comfortable with them. This doesn't mean I think Macs are better, I just think they suit my purposes better.

I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

It isn't really an arguement of which is better because its all relative to the user's needs. For those with less computer experience, or those in certain technical fields in which macs have proven to be more useful, it makes sense to own one. That being said, pc's offer alot more versatility that macs just cant... and at a more competitive price. All in all with a mac your trading capabilities in for design and ease of use... something most computer savvy people just decide not to do. Asking which is better is the classic APPLEs to oranges arguement...

I have always owned PC's until a week ago when I bought the new MacBook. I was willing to sacrifice some performance and comfort for something reliable. I don't trust these ****ing laptops from Dell and HP, which I've consistently seen crap out after a year of use.
In terms of laptops and on-the-go computing, I think Macs are just fine. As far as at home use, I'm still pretty content with my cuddy ass Dell desktop PC, despite the 4 reformats/data losses in 5 years...
