There actually have been case studies about this and...

-Tall guys appear more attractive to woman
-Tall guys have advantages in the working world (think hiring, promotions, etc)

That's not to say every single girl is going to prefer a tall dude. But, on average, females prefer taller guys to short.

Being tall myself, I'll be the first to say that short guys try harder though. I really don't put that much effort into things... so I think some woman might appreciate that more.

I'm ~ 180CM, possibly 182 which is almost exactly the average here, I think.
