This is very true. I remember at the time, I heard them and didn't think they were a good fit for the label at all. I suppose they fit in with the dynamic at the time better than, say, The Dresden Dolls (very confused as to how they wound up on Roadrunner) but so much of Roadrunner's fare at the time was more aggressive nu metal type stuff. At the time, I was all about headbanging and mosh pits and found them to be pussified.

With that said, at least their earlier stuff was more palatable than the utter swill they're putting out today - at least then, their lyrical "content" was just angry and brooding. Now, it appears to be them angry and pissed off at how much money they have, how many women are throwing themselves at the band, and how much they party.

Chad Kroeger deserves a swift kick to the vagina, for real.
