At V2002 I was queueing up for a signing, which was right next to the main stage and had to inadvertently stand through Nickelback as well. You can't fault them for giving that type of music fan what they want, but when Chad Kroeger told the crowd to "REPEAT AFTER ME!! NICKELBACK...****ING...ROCK!!!" and he got barely nothing in return, it was too bad.

I'm not a fan of Nickelback and their other radio rock peers. But I'm not about to come into this thread and bash them, hating on Nickelback is like some unofficial rite of passage most music fans seem to think they must undertake. Never made any sense to me. I don't even find them to be THAT bad. Just not good.

May I ask what everyone hates about them? I seem to be the only "fan" of their music, and I'd like to know why everyone else feels the way they do about them.
Also, if I do not bash Nickelback, am I not a true music fan regardless? If bashing Nickelback is the popular thing to do, then why do their fans still sell out arenas after arenas? |
