Not picking on you especially but I have never really understood that way of thinking.

Loads of people listen to music made before they were born. I wasn`t around in the 60s yet I can listen to songs about growing up at that time. I wouldn`t have thought that listening bands making songs about growing up now , and who are also probably taking influences from the bands I grew up listening to in the late 80s / 90s is that much of a leap forward.

John Peel was still looking for new bands & new genres well into his 60s , if it`s good enough for him it`s good enough for me.
