Basically, post a couple bands you like, they don't have to be your favorites they could just be some new bands you've gotten into recently, and the person underneath you will judge a couple of them and make an overall appraisal of your taste in music.

In other words, the point is not to post every single band and artist you like or that you've come across the last two-three months. It's just a common approach some people take to this sort of thing since I guess they think bigger lists add more inches to their e-peens.
