I like Blue Oyster Cult a lot, Blondie is okay, I respect MM but I'm not a fan of his music. The rest, sorry but I hafta pass, especially on the 80s hair metal/pop. Not for me, 3/10.
My tastes run in a lot of directions but I'm mostly into punk and indie/alt-rock. I don't necessarily listen to all of these bands a whole lot anymore but they shaped my tastes in music over the years: David Bowie Pink Floyd The Velvet Underground Weezer Ramones Joy Division Jawbreaker Fugazi Slint Dillinger Four The Ergs Black Lips Wavves Pixies Modest Mouse Mars Volta Piglet My Bloody Valentine Violent Femmes Andrew Jackson Jihad That pretty much covers it . I've started listening to some Soul, R&B, Blues, and Hip-Hop lately because it's music I was never really exposed to. I'd include some but it's all still pretty new for me. |

You've got good taste, but we don't see eye to eye on a few of the groups on your list. 6/10
EDIT: Click the "fast.ml" link for a look at my taste.

Haha, out of curiosity which ones?
>Looking through your last.fm, I barely recognize any of your artists. The ones I do recognize I have a lot of respect for though, save for Death Grips. Huge fan of Zach Hill, can't understand DG. 7/10. |

Not a fan of Weezer, Wavves, Modest Mouse, or Violent Femmes, but to each their own. I like the VU, Floyd, MBV, and Slint a lot, though, so we agree there.

Ha, fair enough. I'll stand by the others but Weezer were really just one of those bands I remember being fond of and relating to when I was 13, kinda like Nirvana. Just one of those gateway bands into the world of "Alternative". I'm surprised the you like MBV and Slint but not Modest Mouse, their early records usually fit right in with that kinda crowd.

I'll give you 6/10. Not a big fan of most of those groups but you like the Ramones and Bowie so your taste cannot be bad.
These are the most important bands for me: Beatles Ramones Beach Boys Rolling Stones Johnny Cash Flaming Lips Chuck Berry Kris Kristofferson Police Green Day Ween The Kinks Creedence Clearwater Revival Nirvana Procol Harum There's also many more but I guess these are the most important ones |

I would say I only truly love The Flaming Lips of those bands. But none of them are bad.
6/10, based on that list alone. Catherine Wheel Aesop Rock Death Grips EL-P The Fall The Auteurs Boom Bip Doseone Dalek The Church The Stone Roses Massive Attack MF DOOM Luxuria Kiss the Anus of a Black Cat Pixies Wire A Tribe Called Quest and more but the list wouldn't end.
