Satyricon and Dimmu yeah, Emperor not so much (I don't like symphonic black metal, but it's not commercial by default), and you're gonna need to name a Burzum album that's commercial. Cause I don't think 10+ minute ambient songs or 10+ minute repetitive, lo-fi, and just plain ugly atmospheric black metal is every going to push units.

This forum goes through cycles. When I first joined the metal forum was dead. Then it went ape**** when the Metal Wars thread first started and became one of if not the dominant subforum. Then that died and the metal community just sort of disappeared and metal was dead again. But it's resurgent again, and I guess I've been helping with Metal Album Survivor and my incessant random threads, like my scuzzy metal and metalcore threads.

And don't forget pop. Bitches be loving pop on this site these days, and that's relatively new. Thank god hipster indie seems to be dying around here, as it was ubiquitous when I first joined.
