If smoke at a bar bothers me then I just get a bit more sloshed to fix that.

I don't smoke and I never want to smoke, but I think that people should be able to smoke in bars and other public places.

I think that as long as there is a smoking and non-smoking section in a place then people should feel free to pick one or the other. I don't know about people who live in other countries, but this is the USA and I thought it stood for liberty/freedom. I believe that it's a smoker's right to smoke indoors.

So you think liberty/freedom is only applicable to smokers and not workers?

It wouldn't affect the workers if there was a smoking and non-smoking section.

Smoking sections are vile.

I'd rather go outside

True. I was under the impression you were speaking about smoking in bars generally. My bad if I misunderstood.

As far as whether there should be smoking sections, I certainly wouldn't have a problem with it, but like Urban said, I'd just smoke outside because if you've ever been to a smoking room in an airport, heh... it's gross. I smoke and I can't even handle it.

When I was on holiday they had just imposed a smoking ban, but nobody followed it, so smoking in pubs was allowed. I thought it was awesome, it was much different and I prefered the smell of smoke to the smell of BO, spew and sex in the club near me.

By 2025 New Zealand will be a smoke free country. To the Irish 85-year-old who said she would never give up her cigarettes, lets face it, is she even going to be alive then?

I think each bar should be able to decide whether you can smoke inside or not. If you don't like it, then find another bar.
