plus I disagree with the whole "give us 80% of all you owe to pay for someone else" line their government uses. but this isn't the place to talk about German politics, as interesting as they might be.

And Urban and adidasss, watch it. c'mon now, you two were getting along, don't spoil it.
elaborate please

and, i think it's better to back out than go and invade another country braking all international laws, however unsporty it may be....

The figure I got was from The Weekly Standard, which is a Conservative journal. If they ever put up archived editions of their older journals i'll provide the link.

Whether or not the U.S. was in the right in the invasion and removal of Saddam Hussien will be something for historians to decided, but as for me, when someone says they'll do something, they'll do it. Germany had troops stationed in Iraq in order to help maintain order after Saddam was deposed, France pulled support claiming it was the wrong thing to do (but apparantly they have no problem disenfrachising nearly their entire immagrant population) and Germany followed suit. I was a cowardly thing to do. The so called "illegal" thing was done, but they choose not to follow through.

and that is why i have a problem with the German government.

you haven't explained te bolded text, i genuenly didn't understand what you were refferning to...

and what on earth are you talking about "supposed illegal war", america didn't have a justified cause for the invasion, the weapons of mass distruction were never and will never be found and the so called "allied forces" never had the aproval of the security council of the UN to intervene.....there is nothing questionable about america braking half a dosen international laws.....if it was any country other than the US there would have been hell to pay, sanctions and what not.....however.....

and france is disenfranchising the entire immigrant population? i suppose you're reffering to the riots....to my knowledge , france doesn't have any laws that deliberatly dienfranchise anyone, the immigrants in france have the same problems immigrans have in any other country in the world, poor education due to lack of money, which in turn leads to lower paying jobs and the vicious cycle continues....

the bolded text was referring to their equivalent of an income tax. 80% of what the average German citizen makes is given to the government.

The UN also decided not to call the genocide in Rwanda a genocide (was it Rwanda? I forgot which country. but it was one of them). So I have no respect at all for the UN. It's all a popularity contest there anyway. They have no real power.

No western country has laws that disenfrachise people deliberatly. However much like Amercia, the vicious cycle is allowed to continue. And apparantly the situation is a hell of alot worse than over here.

yes, well no matter what you think of the un, there are still international laws that must be obeyd, they were broken, and not sideing with the ones that broke those laws ( and yet insist that others follow them, hypocracy anyone?) in my mind is not cowardness, to me, it shows character and balls to defy america....

and the situation in france is much worse than in america? check this out:

On that matter, what's wrong with wanting attention? Everyone needs attention or there'd be a world-wide shortage of prozac.

It's about how you get that attention that matters. I get attention, but I don't ask for it, it's because my confidence attracts it.

Self esteem is better than being insecure and expecting it all them time.
