One of my few very favourite acts. In my opinion they just deliver every time.
Confield is my favourite. I had that one for 18 months, catching cobwebs, but one night it absolutely blew me away. But they're all great in their own way. |

Oversteps was released for download earlier this week, to anyone who pre-ordered the CD or vinyl. Played it about 3 times so far, obviously it'll take some time to sink in as all of their stuff does. I don't think they'll make mp3s available for purchase for everyone else until the official release date, March 23.

In my experience, bands with nonsensical song titles (especially the ones that pull words out of their asses) tend to be awesome; thus, I think I really need to check this band out.
EDIT: Wow, these guys have a fairly large back catalogue. Should I start with Tri Repetae?

I've been listening to Amber and Confield a lot the past few weeks, both sublime records. I haven't heard Tri Repetae yet so I think that'll be the next one I check out.
Really like their first album as well, it's more straightforward ambient music than the rest I've heard but it's cool. |

You know what fascinates me about Autechre? Their albums actually chart in the UK! They make great music but it's so hard for me to imagine living in a country where such a thing could occur consistently.
