What is the name of this instrument precisely?
The first riff you hear in Loud Pipes of Ratatat what instrument is it?
Obviously i'm not talking about the drum machine. The other instrument is an electric piano or something else? And if it is an electric piano, what kind of electric piano is it? Ps: i can't post a link of the song.. please hear the song Edit: also what instrument is that one at 1:06 that makes that melody? |

According to this site they used a Nord Stage 2 88-Key Stage Keyboard on their earlier tracks so that may be what you're hearing. |

If you are talking about the instrument playing the slow "G Bb C F" pattern, I don't think that it is an electric piano. The attack, sustain and general timbre makes me think more of a "jazz organ" kind of sound, probably with somes effects like chorus or overdrive.
