He said he has albums and albums worth of finished stuff, so I hope you are right.

I hope this means that we don't have to wait another decade for proper Twin releases! I recall him mentioning in interviews that he never stopped recording, he just stopped releasing. Maybe Syro was just a way to test the waters before he really lets loose.

Pretty much what he said. Also, I love stereolab too.

So yeah, the EP is pretty much what I thought it would be. It's more in vain of Cage than his more melodic works, but it has a strong undercurrent of that sort of dark acid feel he was known for in the mid 90's. If you liked the prepared piano pieces on Drukqs, you're probably going to like this, but I already see a bunch of people hating this on the various IDM and electronic groups I'm in. Think of it as more groovy John Cage, which I definitely like.

Yeah, I can definitely see the opinion on this EP being split, particularly after Syro being as accessible as it was. But I'm really digging these dissonant grooves.

It's pretty cool, but the attention to detail and overall quality of it pales in comparison to Syro.

Some tracks go absolutely nowhere, some are pretty catchy.

I'm all for him releasing new stuff though. Not everything has to be brilliant.

Anybody checking out the new Aphex Twin "leaks"? They certainly sound plausible enough to be RDJ, but who knows. Anyway, interesting stuff.

Well, if it's any indication, the official AFX soundcloud commented on this account's comment. At this point we're pretty sure it's his music based on fan analysis of tracks(hax skillz), and the connection to his soundcloud.

Here's everything at the time of writing this post, albeit it's 128kbps, but still.
Aphex Soundcloud Collection

edit:

This is indeed AFX, no question. I have been listening through the 4 1/2 massive collection, and guess what? "16 fresher + cleaner" is a slightly different and cleaned up version of track 1 on the Joyrex tape which was indeed confirmed to be real. Guys, get on this shit before he changes his mind, this is so crazy.

For real. This is insane and amazing. More tracks are being posted today. The most recent is only 54 minutes old as of this post.
