i only got into Kraftwerk when i heard about the new digital remasters. what fun! i of course heard Model sometime in the distant past, but i'm currently all about Computer World, it's a wonderful album. The Mix is good too, some nice variety there.
i managed to obtain the whole Catalogue in flac and i can't stop listening

Those who like Kraftwerk should check out William Orbit's remix of their Radioaktivität classic.
Bit of a dorky homemade vid there even! Other than that, I guess Die Roboter is my all-time favourite Kraftwerk song.

i've got the goods to the remasters if anybody wants to give them a spin. Unfortunately missing the last two albums 'the Mix' and 'Tour de France', German language LPs too.
I've heard bad things about a couple of the remasters, they've been messing about with the segues apparently (see earlier review link i posted) |

Same, being honest here I hadn't heard of them until this thread. Same with alot of music I'm actually into now. I thought this place wouldn't change my taste really. But it has, in a way I want it to go.

I have been obsessed with Kraftwerk lately, it's the only music that can chill me out; and there's not a trace of blues or rock influence in there... it's just European, there's a purity about it as they are true originals.
Two favourites Watching this you realise how Hot Chip are just a hybrid of Prince and these guys, an inferior one at that. They had their instruments custom-built whenever they toured in order to remain absolute cutting-edge, only 5 or 6 years before this was filmed you'd need alot of equipment to play this I would imagine Their best song lyrics-wise from probably their greatest album. The footsteps blow my mind! |

Is anyone here knowledgeable enough to rank all ten of their studio records? I need to dedicate a weekend to just Kraftwerk before shuffling off this mortal coil
