Aphex Twin and The Avalanches were among the loudest come-backs of the year, the latter didn't impress me. Among these 20 releases I'd strongly recommend Nicolas Jaar. Also if you like house music don't miss out on Omar S-The Best and Various Artists-DJ Koze Presents Pampa Vol. 1, both enjoyable records.
As for P4k reviews their quality often appeared questionable to me, and with what Paedantic Basterd said about them post-editing the texts they don't deserve much credit. Still this web-site can be useful to get the notion of what's trending. |
