2. If you're worried about how much of an audience you're going to have the answer is, no. So, no, probably not.

On the contrary dubstep has a huge audience, mostly 14-18 year old white male gamers. Unless you're reffering to more traditional, good ol' 2Step/Dub fusion like Skream!, Digital Mystikz, or Burial.
Make whatever kind of music you want and I garuntee someone, somewhere will enjoy watever you make. If you want this solely for monetary gain or fame, I'm sorry to tell you that this probably won't happen. Especially in this age with the internet, there are millions upon millions of music artists, and even the pop stars don't seem too prolific compared to how big they used to be. It's all trends now, more than it's ever been. On the underground it's the same way, good music is great, and it's entirely up to listener to decide what qualifies. There's no real competition, everyone just wants their music to be heard. Act upon that, maybe join your local electronic music scene if you decide to go through with it and learn the ropes. |
