I like house electronica. But I like a mixture of elements. I like electronica that is progressive and highly creative with the use of real instruments mixed with instruments that are sampled. Its pretty sweet when there's various time changes within as well.
I like some of Sufjan Stevens electronic work or even the electronic work done on the album (BQE) which had mainly orchestrating elements under different time measures, creatively interesting and melodic trills and then on some tracks a sampling of electronic pieces that play the pieces of the orchestra. Also like some of Paul Hartnol's (of Orbital) solo work. Also like Orbital, of course .. and LongRange. Loop Guru is also pretty cool to listen to. Love world instruments! |

Thanks Ki for playing these guys in plug last night, never really gave them a listen despite knowing of them for awhile. I should've probably started with an older album, but wanted to listen to some more electronic music from this year. This album has some great stuff, but some of it goes on for too long and don't care for the songs with vocals. I'm definitely going to check out an older album of theirs though. Speaking of: Oh yeah, this is great. When electronic music hits that perfect balance of intense beats and chilling atmosphere is when I'm sold. I'm a sucker for this stuff.
